After an inspiring online workshop this Fall, I have been making my versions of Pajaki – a traditional Polish craft for celebration and decoration – two of my favorite things! Traditionally they are handmade of natural straw materials, fiber and paper craft…mine have spun off to include images, trinkets, beads, and found items. Each one changes as I make it and I have no idea where the end will be. They will continue to be an evolving craft in my studio – I’m lucky to have a few galleries here in Santa Fe showing off these crazy things!
